NordicTrack 2450 vs NordicTrack 2950

In today’s treadmill comparison we’ll be comparing two of the best NordicTrack treadmills on the market, the 2450 vs. 2950, let’s see which one is better for you? Here is an overview of the main differences between the two treadmills as a starting point for the comparison.

The 2450 and 2950 treadmills both have a 22″x60″ running belt, 300-pound weight capacity, a top speed of 12 MPH, and come with 1-year iFit membership. They also both have %15 incline and %3 decline. You can fold both treadmills to save space.

The 2950 has more horsepower (4.25 CHP vs 4.0 CHP) and a huge touchscreen (22-inch vs 14-inch). When iFit is enabled, both treadmills can access thousands of workout programs but if you end your membership and decide to go with the onboard programs then the NordicTrack 2950 has 50 workout programs which 10 more than the 2450’s. The last difference worth mentioning is the tablet holder, while the 2450 has a tablet holder on its console, the 2950 does not have a tablet holder, honestly speaking, there is no way you need a tablet with 2950’s 22-inch fancy console.

No matter which commercial treadmill you choose, you will win they are both great machines for anyone from the average home user up to the elite runner.

Running Area

When choosing a treadmill consider how you will use the treadmill mostly and the space available in your room. An 18-inch belt is suitable for walking. For runners, we recommend  20 inches or wider.

The length of a belt can vary from 50” to 65”.  55 inches will work for most people but, if you’re taller than 6 feet go longer.

Foldable

Foldable treadmills allow you to fold up the machine in seconds and store away to conserve space. Both treadmills are easy to fold up.

Motor Power (HP)

The more power a treadmill motor has the faster it’ll be at changing speeds. We recommended treadmills with a motor of at least 2.5 horsepower or more.
